The
Locality
At its widest point, the Penwith Peninsula is only six miles across. The
landscape is characterised by dramatic cliffs, granite outcrops and the
scars of the now defunct mining industry.
St. Just is the most westerly town on the UK mainland. There are regular
buses to Penzance train station where direct trains link Penwith to London
and the rest of the UK.
In the market square there is a bakery, butcher, greengrocers, restaurants,
cafes, five pubs, a deli, and the Co-op. There is also a public library,
a framers and hardware store. |
